THE FRUIT JUICE WORKSHOP

A user friendly environment where employees, volunteers and operators work together in harmony.

Since last September the pasteurised fruit workshop has undergone some changes. In particular the gas operated pasteuriser has been replaced. The new pasteuriser a PER 250 is electrically operated and produces 250 litres of juice per hour. What a difference! Those who have used it can bare witness. The working conditions are almost ideal. It is easy to operate and takes about five minutes to get it working. The juice is recycled at a relatively low temperature which guarantees optimal pasteurization.

Bottling is easier as the process is automated. No more overflow and sticky bottles. Cleaning is reduced to a minimum. Is it great or what! The pressed juice is stocked in vats and immediately pumped to the centrifuge which sends it on to containers situated above the pasturiser. The process is continuous and the pasteurisation is effective and efficient.

So here we are with equipment that is operational and reliable and requires no special skills and is easier to operate, which, for me, is just what we were after. This equipment, representing the spearhead  of the association, benefits everyone. Be aware that its financial repercussions and its efficient functioning guarantee the future and development of our association.
